The Adaptec Serial ATA II RAID 2420SA card is a four-port controller that supports SATA or SATA II direct attached disk drives. It features the Adaptec AIC-8210 SATA RAID-on-Chip (ROC) ASIC and Adaptec RAID Code (ARC) with standard RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 as well as an optional Advanced Data Protection Suite. With the industry's most advanced feature set, the Adaptec 2420SA provides the highest level of data protection. The Adaptec Serial ATA II RAID 2420SA is ideal for supporting server and workgroup applications where high levels of sustained read and write operations are required, such as video streaming, web content, video-on-demand, security and surveillance, fixed content, and reference data storage.
