The GPU features 32GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory interface, offering improved performance and power efficiency over the previous RDNA-based generation.

The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs, such as DisplayPort 2.1 and Mini DisplayPort 2.1. DisplayPort 2.1 technology with UHBR 20 offers up to 80 Gb/s of display link bandwidth (77.37 Gb/s without overhead) and enables 4K or 8K on next-gen displays. For cooling, AMD implemented a blower-style fan cooler. The W7800 has a dual-slot design.

Featuring an advanced chiplet design, compute units, and second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology, AMD RDNA 3 architecture delivers up to 50% more raytracing performance per compute watt than the previous-generation AMD RDNA 2 architecture. AMD RDNA 3 architecture also features optimizations for AEC, D&M, and M&E workflows for rendering, video editing, and multi-tasking.

Now with a chiplet design, the W7800 provides higher performance and greater power efficiency than the previous generation. It includes the 5nm Graphics Compute Die (GCD) that provides the core GPU functionality. It also includes 6nm Memory Cache Die (MCD), each with second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology.

New AI instructions and increased AI throughput deliver over twice the performance than the previous AMD RDNA 2 architecture, while second-generation raytracing technology delivers significantly higher performance than the previous generation.
