The Granit XP 1990iXR has been designed to withstand a drop from a height of 3 metres and to continue operating after the impact of a fall from a loading bay, forklift or collection truck. Drop testing from a height of 1 metre indicates long durability to everyday shocks and drops from a workstation or waist. With optimum resistance to 7,000 drops with rollover, Granit readers are ready for long-term operation in demanding environments.

Featuring Honeywell's FlexRange technology, this XR Granit XP model is the ideal combination of flawless near-field reading and extended range to read UPCs at a distance of 1.5 meters and 100 mil (2.54 mm) tags at a radius of 10 meters, making it suitable for many processes in warehouses, distribution centres and factories.

The Granit reader is designed to be scratch and impact resistant, with the technology embedded deep within the reader to prevent these failures. This critical sealing component prevents dust and moisture from entering the housing and degrading reading efficiency or causing premature failure.
